The Pharmacist position is responsible for effectively enhancing the drug therapy outcomes of the patients. This is accomplished through continual assessment of the appropriateness, safety, and efficacy of individualized patient drug therapy and providing recommendations, information, and education to Medical, Nursing, and Pharmacy personnel and other health care professionals thereby improving the quality of pharmaceutical care received by patients.

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist to support our Pharmacy Practice. We are looking for professionals with experience in the following: drug expense management, 340B optimization, pharmacy enterprise development, and service line integration.

In this Pharmacist position, you will work extensively utilizing your deep clinical expertise in Pharmacy, business process improvement skills, and business development skills to achieve personal and professional success for our clients.

The Pharmacist will develop, plan, and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the dispensary, adhering to the rules and regulations set forth by the Department of Health of New York. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Pharmacist will step immediately into a critical role that includes directly consulting with clients and being an integral part of a business that is undergoing progressive expansion.

Pharmacy Oversight

  • Draw upon expertise in pharmacy administration to accurately assess pharmacy-operating environments, appraise and prioritize member challenges, and design operational plans to achieve efficient, high-value pharmacy programs.
  • Develop and master our internal systems: develop full operational knowledge and understanding of the pharmacy and manage internal and external pharmacy operations.
  • Work well in a team environment in the fulfillment of prescription orders: processing, filling, inventory management, and ordering, customer inquiries, and managing insurance companies.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the operational performance of Pharmacy Services.
  • Develop and implement system pharmacy operational planning and decision-making processes.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of a safe and effective medication use system.
  • Support design and implementation of standardized and consistent processes across the system.
  • Ensure continued compliance with all national, state, and local regulations related to medications and their use.
  • Oversee safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Degree from an ACPE-accredited college of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum five (5) years of Pharmacy Management experience.
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant pharmacy work experience: prescription processing, inventory management, customer inquiries, managing a pharmacy, and managing insurance company and doctor office relationships.
  • Possess a valid New York State Pharmacist License
